To some people numerology may be classed as an amusing game but to others like me, it is a subject worthy of serious study.

Numerology for me is a fascinating subject and I am putting a great deal of time and energy into learning this subject. There is always more to learn, learning never ends…learning is the essence of our soul… our lives.

Numerology has been studied for many thousands of years and will continue to be…..it can be used to understand the self and can unravel the mysteries of the future, but I must state, numerology is not a tool that is to be used as a predictive tool, more as a tool to show you what energies surround you at certain times (e.g. birth) and what could be achieved… remember energies show what can or could be… but opportunities can either be used or they can pass us by… you have the choice ultimately to choose the direction you go in.

To briefly sum up what numerology is, it is the utilization and collation of energies from numbers to a conclusion of the self. Each letter of the alphabet has a number and each number has its own unique energy and when these numbers are added together it gives an overall impression of the self from birth to now and the future possible energies available to you. For numerology your birth name, your name you use now and your date of birth are each calculated to a single digit between 1 – 9 or 11 and 22 which stay as they are.

The numerology system I use is based on the system devised by Pythagoras. This man spent a large part of his life on the study of numbers and their influences on our lives.

Numerology can be split into differing sections from your date of birth, names and even car registrations and house numbers…. But I will go into these below in detail.

Below I am going to go into sections of numerology by which I use:-

This represents the name you usually use, so for example, my birth name is Victoria Anne Sherman but the name I use is Vicki Sherman so the Name Number would represent the name you usually use, for me, Vicki Sherman. This can also represent your married or adopted name or depol name change. But to be perfectly honest the name number is a bit of a awkward one for me and I tend not to use it very often. The problem with the name number is that anyone can change their name through marriage etc but unless you take that name into your soul it may not mean anything or the changes will be so subtle in any event that they may not even be noticeable so I tend to use the Destiny Number more often than not for this.

Your destiny number represents the name that you were born with, the full name on your birth certificate. Its shows your destiny in this life time and life purpose based on your personality and potential. When you use the Name Number it may show subtle differences but again, as I have said, these may not be apparent if you have not taken the name change into your soul and the self. For example, you may marry someone who makes your self-confidence soar and this may be reflected in your Name Number description but again, as I have said, sometimes these changes can be so subtle, it is not something that I tend to use very often. So if someone has been divorced for example but still use their married name I would probably use their Destiny Number rather than Name Number but would check in any event to see if anything has occurred in such ways as lack of confidence or mistrust due to the divorce or separation.

This represents the face you show to the world, the outer you so to speak. When doing this it may be best to use the name you usually call yourself now… e.g. for me Vicki rather than Victoria. More often than not though, I chart for both your birth name and the name you use now.

Your Heart's Desire is the inner you. It shows your underlying urge, your true motivation. It reveals the general intention behind many of your actions.

Consequently, it dramatically influences the choices you make in life. The Heart's desire is seen as part of the larger picture, called the core numbers, which includes the Life Path, Day you were born, and Personality. But each points to a different aspect of you.

This represents your personal feelings and deepest wishes. These things are more often than not hidden, even from ourselves…..so this will assist you in knowing what motivates instinctive behaviour and any hidden talents which may not be apparent now but you were born with ultimately.

This is utilized using your full date of birth... e.g. 21^{st February 1978 = 21/02/1978 = 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 8 = 30}

If ever there was a moment of total transformation, it was the moment of your birth. In that instant, you stepped through a door in time into a new reality -- the reality of human life. The most important number in your numerology chart is based on the date of your birth, the moment when the curtain goes up in your life.

Even at that moment, you were a person with your own unique character, as unique as your DNA. Everything that is you existed in potential, much like a play that is about to begin. Your entire life exists as a potential that has been prepared for. You have the ultimate freedom to do with your life as you like: to fulfill its potential completely, or to make some smaller version of yourself. It all depends upon your effort and commitment. You make the decisions to fulfill, to whatever extent, the potential life that exists within you. That is your choice. In this sense, the possible you is implicit during the moment of your birth.

The Life Path number gives us a broad outline of the opportunities, challenges, and lessons we will encounter in this lifetime. Your Life path is the road you are traveling. It reveals the opportunities and challenges you will face in life. Your Life Path number is the single most important information available in your Personality Chart!

This will show any faults that may lie with you and how you can work on these faults to enhance yourself and your life to its maximum potential. Again, this only shows the in-built faults you have and you have the choice to change these in your life. If you don’t choose to improve, then naturally, this is why it is the karmic number…. Events will be relived out in lifetimes until faults or past karmic life experiences are fulfilled and direction or attitude changed. For this I add the destiny number and the life number.

You can with numerology forecast the specific energies available to you for the short term future, in respect of months, days or year. It does not predict the future, only the specific energies around you at that time and as I have said already, it is up to you to utilize these energies for your benefit… you can choose to ignore or use the energies available to you. These are calculated using your date of birth and the relevant year, date or month.

You can use this to look at the compatibility, the strengths and weaknesses a relationship may encounter and how to counteract these.

I know this may sound odd but car registrations have letters and numbers… all numbers have energies….. so a car registration can be used to predict the energies available in respect to the use and style.

It is also interesting because you can see how your house number might affect your life… and also business addresses!

A numerology reading is captivating, interesting and fulfilling and can give you valuable insights to you as a person and your life… what you were reincarnated to achieve in this lifetime, what karmic debts you may hold from a previous lifetime and to overcome, what you are capable of achieving but may not be apparent because sometimes elements of ourselves are either held back in our subconscious or not yet developed as we are not in the right time of our life for these to emerge. Some elements we were born with may never emerge, it all depends on the path we choose to take in our lifetime. You may be born with an inbuilt creative talent that will enhance your life but you may not get involved or learn a specific creative pursuit (e.g. art) at all and so this will be held in our subconscious.

Combined with a tarot and mediumship reading an additional numerology element can assist you greatly…. the tarot/mediumship reading will guide you on a path if you are lost and need guidance and/or healing and a numerology reading with it will show what you were born to achieve and may well show you why you are having the problems you are now having… e.g. you may have just had a bad breakup from a relationship and you may find that your major lesson in this lifetime is to learn forgiveness which will then move you higher on the spiritual path.
